Quick facts

Christopher Wren designed it and it was built between 1664 and 1669.

Its ceiling holds 32 painted panels by Robert Streater, shown in 1670 as Truth driving ignorance out of the university.

An eight-sided cupola with windows on every side is open to visitors and overlooks the city centre.
