Prospect Cottage

This was the home of the late artist and film-maker Derek Jarman, a black timber cottage standing alone on the shingle.

Its celebrated garden grows plants and driftwood sculptures straight out of the shingle.

It has been in public ownership since an Art Fund campaign, and interior visits are by pre-booked timed ticket in groups of up to four.
