The Strand Quay

In the 19th and early 20th centuries, barges and coasters brought timber, coal and corn to the warehouses here.

A Grade II listed warehouse at the junction of the Strand and the Quay has tarred weatherboarding above brick, and dates from the late 18th or early 19th century.

Environment Agency improvements to the quay were completed in April 2025.
