Quick facts

The church is mostly 12th to 14th century and replaced an Anglo-Saxon church recorded in the Domesday Book.

A 14th-century window and squint survive from the cell of the anchoress Christina Carpenter, who petitioned in 1329 to be enclosed here.

The church appears briefly in the final wedding scene of Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason.
