Ramsgate Tunnels

The deep shelter tunnels opened on 1 June 1939 and were planned to protect 60,000 people.

The network runs for more than three miles and includes a former Victorian railway tunnel where a short film is shown.

Part of the tunnels opened to visitors in 2014, and guided tours run through the wartime shelters.
