Quick facts

General James Wolfe, who won the Battle of Quebec in 1759, lived in the house from 1728 to 1738.

The timber-framed house dates from the mid-1500s and took its present outside look in the 1630s.

Visitors can see paintings and memorabilia of Wolfe's life, a garden with 18th-century plants and an exhibition in the converted coach house.
