Quick facts

John Forbes built the Pump Room between 1825 and 1830, and it was the last and largest of Cheltenham's spa buildings.

A gallery under a dome, supported by Ionic columns, looks over the hall, and it is a concert venue during the Cheltenham Music Festival.

The original marble pump is still inside, and a new borehole restored the spa water supply in 2005.
