Quick facts

The Mary Rose sank off Spithead on 19 July 1545 while attacking French galleys, and was raised on 11 October 1982.

About one third of the ship survives, and that part of the hull has been on show in a museum since May 2013.

Divers found 172 of her 250 longbows and almost 4,000 arrows.
