The house was the home of Miss Mary Pearson Strong, who inspired the character of Betsey Trotwood in David Copperfield.
The collection includes letters, personal items, prints and costumes connected with Dickens and his time in the town.
It sits on the seafront beside Viking Bay and is the starting point of the Dickens Town Trail created for its 50th anniversary in 2023.
