Quick facts

The estate covers about 376 acres, roughly 180 of them gardens, and the gardens are Grade I listed.

The parterre was first laid out around 1723, and the Fountain of Love, carved in Rome in 1897, stands at the end of the lime avenue leading to the house.

The house is a hotel, but National Trust guided visits run on set days between March and October.
