Quick facts

Alnwick Castle was Hogwarts in the first two Harry Potter films, and has also appeared in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and Downton Abbey.

It is the second-largest inhabited castle in England after Windsor, still the home of the Percy family, who have owned it since 1307.

One ticket covers the state rooms, the Great Kitchen, the towers, a regimental museum and the castle grounds, with The Alnwick Garden next door.
