Quick facts

The bay is made up of Shell Bay, Knoll Beach, Middle Beach and South Beach, all owned by the National Trust.

Knoll Beach is the largest, with a National Trust cafe and visitor centre, and the beaches are dog-friendly.

Trails run through the dunes and woodland behind the sand, and a chain ferry links the bay with Sandbanks in Poole.
